After hunting for many, many years with moderate success, I have often wondered just how much of my time I am wasting by hunting sign ( scrapes, well traveled trails, or good strategic food sources) by not knowing what time of day the deer are are visiting these areas. I will soon retire and plan to become a year-around deer scouter/hunter. I felt like your TRAILMASTER equipment could contribute invaluably to my future hunting success!

I rigged up my monitor and transmitter on 1-1/4" heavy wall pipe that is secured by means of screw clamps. I lossen the clamps and remove the equipment before driving the pipe in the ground. I don't have to rely on trees for attachments and it is much easier to set up.

THE REASON IM INTERESTED IS I KNOW A GUY WHO HAD A PROBLEM OF PEOPLE BREAKING INTO HIS CABIN SO HE SET UP A TRAILMASTER WITH CAMERA AND ACTUALLY GOT PICTURES OF THE PEOPLE BREAKING INTO HIS CABIN. THE PEOPLE WERE CAUGHT. THE CABINS ARE WITHOUT POWER SO THE TRAILMASTER IS PERFECT. MY CABIN HAS BEEN BROKEN INTO TWICE NOW. THE FIRST TIME THE PERSON WAS CAUGHT AND IS NOW SERVING 5 YEARS. THE SECOND TIME WAS LAST WEEK AND I KNOW WHO IT IS BECAUSE I RECOVERED THE RADIO FROM HIM BUT I COULD NOT PROVE IT. WITH THE TRAILMASTER CAMERA SYSTEM I MAY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TAKE THE PICTURES WITHOUT THE FLASH BECAUSE FAIRBANKS AK DOES NOT GET DARK IN THE SUMMER WHEN THESE CABINS ARE BROKEN INTO....THANKS SEND ME A CATALOG..........

I have been using the TM1500 for 2 years now and have been having a lot of fun with it. I use it with the 35mm camera kit and to date have been chasing whitetail deer and elk with that setup. I had looked long and hard at all the different types of trail monitoring systems before I settled on the Trailmaster system. It cost me a little more but I have been extremely happy with this product.Although my initial intent was to use the TM1500 for scouting hunting areas, I have turned it into a photography hobby for post hunting season. At the time of writing my camera is sitting near a private ranch back home. I called my friend yesterday (I'm in Hong Kong right now for Christmas) and my latest batch of photos has produced footage of a rather LARGE whitey buck. I can't wait to get home to see these! I have found the equipment very user friendly... I'm having a blast with it and now some of my hunting buddies are getting hooked. I'll most certainly recommend your product. Thanks.

I have been using your timers for around 5 years or more and what can I say but they work .I have a camera on each trail monitoring unit and have pictures of every animal that there is .From elk , moose , deer , birds and even a cougar on a kill which I wouldn't have without Trailmaster .The only problem I ever had was trying to keep the elk from licking the camera and monitor as I have found elk to be very curious . I have pictures from 2 inches away to thirty feet and have been surprized at who I get a picture of .Watching licks for hunting it has been a eye opener and has showed me that sometimes I should have been in my tree stand after seeing a picture of a big bull elk standing there .Thanks for the help hunting and the great pictures. Thanks for your prompt reply. I am impressed with your customer service and the amount that you charged for fixing my TM500 - far below what I had expected. In fact, I'm going to pass your email around to my friends at the gun club where I trap shoot on Thursday nights; most of them are hunters. In this day and age, it is difficult to find companies that take care of their customers in this way; in most cases, it's "buyer beware". It is truly refreshing to find a company that really cares. Thanks again.Regards,Barry Badini

Your products are very useful to determine what deer are in your area, and the times at which they come in. The only problem is that they seem to come in, during the days that I am at work, and at night, except during the rut. But this at least I now know there are big bucks in the area. This keeps my hopes up. I'd like to see my pictures of the nice bucks that I have mailed to you ,on the testimony page. I didn't see any from Michigan, so lets try it ,for me?. I encourage all to everyone to acquire a TrailMaster if you'd like to see and know the deer in your area.

Glad to see your new ads have new pictures taken by your cameras.I have been using your cameras (I have 2) for the 4 years & have several good pictures of big bucks. All the big boys are at night, it really gives you a good reason to stay on your stand longer, after seeing a picture of one of these big deer. It's like Christmas, after a roll of film is taken up....go to Wal-Mart & drop off in the one-hour developing and you just can't wait to see whats on it. The people in Wal-Mart enjoy developing these rolls as well!

I am a happy owner of one of the first models (actually a prototype)of TM1500(serial #003). I invested in a new and improved TM1500(camera/printer adaptable)a few years ago. I also purchased the 35mm camera at the time and have filmed several fine Whitetail deer (including dancing does). The TM1500 has helped me pattern the deer movements prior to and during season, allowing me to cover more area during my hunts. (Caution, don't let the wife know about this trick). I am currently trying the new TM550 unit. Either of these units have several applications: hunting, security, counting livestock, vehicles, etc. This is the real thing! You won't be disappointed!

The most eye-opening game experience that I have ever had. Looking at the pictures is like waiting to open Christmas presents when I was a kid. Seeing what is there and when they come in (patterning with software) is probably the biggest time-saver that I have ever found for hunting. I dont have a lot of time to spend in the woods and Trailmasters' equipment has helped me more efficiently utilize that time. Thanks Trailmaster! TrailMaster purchased in 1989 (STILL WORKING)

I am trying to compare buckshot with trailmaster. If I get the TM550 plus camera, it will cost me $470 ($180 plus $290).The buyckshot entire system is priced at $380. Thus, on a price basis, it is the better buy. Also, I don't have to integrate the two systems, camera and infrared monitor. Buckshot comes as one system, and yours comes as seperate items. Are there reasons I should select your system over buckshot? The simple answer is "you will get what you pay for". Lets start by looking at the "STAINLESS STEEL" screws we use in our products. They cost us about ten times what a normal steel screw would cost. We think it is worth using the best in our products because you will see the difference when our products are still working in ten years. This philosophy is carried across out entire product line. Like I said "You get what you pay for".

LAST YEAR WAS THE BEST YEAR I HAVE HAD ON THE FARM IN THE 6 YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN HUNTING IT. I OWE IT ALL TO YOUR PRODUCT. I HAVE HAD AND LOTS OF ENJOYABLE HOURS IN THE FIELD . Q. I am looking for a trail monitoring system that utilizes digital camera technology instead of the current 35 mm options. Do you have any plans to offer a digital system in the future? I would like to use your product was part of my "Wildlife Management" curriculum at our high school, but the time and expense of film developing is keeping me from taking the plunge. Perhaps this technology is already available. Please let me know.Thank you,George LandleA. I am sorry to say we do not offer digital cameras at this time. Please see our FAQ section.

I am an avid bowhunter and have been a TrailMaster fan/user for many years. I now look forward to seeing what I have captured with my cameras during the week (on my hunting property in the northern lower pennisula of Michigan). I enjoy the photographs as much as I enjoy the actual hunt. The personalized service and the rapport I have developed with Bill Goodson is also a big plus to the already superior product offering.

We used the TrailMaster systems to capture for the first time nesting in a rare species of turtle, the pig-nosed turtle. The systems were amazing, revealing more about the turtles in one season than was known for decades. The systems are also helping us answer questions about nesting and emergence in turtles in general

I own 28 acres that borders a large tract of land. Your products have proved to me that four years of planting food plots and intensive management have not been a waste of time. The TM1500 and camera are proving invaluable in my effort to harvest a trophy whitetail from my own land. Monitoring the progress of the herd allows me to enjoy the hunting experience year-round.

I just wanted to say that the trailmaster TM1500 with camera accessory works great.I have been able to get the best location of buck movements on my property,by having the monitor in different spots. This can give you time and days, and also you can see if the bucks are coming through. I am going to send you about 6-10 pictures of some nice bucks taken with your equipment, hopefully I'll be able to see them used in your testimonial section.Look for my email address with pics to go with this statement Sincerly, Sal Giacchina

Well I'm happy and un happy because the equipment has been stamped on by an elephant and chewed by a hyena never the less it still works. With a bit of tape and some super glue it will be up and running in no time. Nevertheless I would like some tips to set the equipment up beter that it will not be charged by any animal again. Without interfering with the experiment! ANSWER- The most important thing to remember is that when you handle the TrailMaster you will leave human sent and if you are sweating you will leave salt deposits. Animals like salt, so if there is some available they will first lick it then they will bite it. This can be a real problem when you are dealing with elephants. KEEP THE UNIT CLEAN. You can easily clean the unit by wiping it off with rubbing alcohol. Rubbing alcohl is cheep and easy to use. This is the single most important advice I can give you.

I have just borrowed one TM500 unit from a friend and used it in the Rubeho Mountains, Tanzania where we were able to add 4 mammal species to our list as a result of its use. This was a part of a biodiversity survey for a local NGO called the Tanzania Forets Conservation Group. One species was a duiker and another a dog mongoose which are both very hard to see normaly particulary in this area which is hunted alot. Another interesting species capured was a rare 100gm bushbaby endemic to the Eastern arc mountain forests of Tanzania. As a complete convert, I hope to purchase more units for myself soon, funding willing!

I am nearing completion of my research surveying bobcat populations with your product. I know you must get a lot of requests for digital cameras, which I echo, but I also encourage you to maintain the quick response time from trigger event to photographic capture. A slower camera would have made my research impossible! Keep up the good work.

would like to thank you for returning my TM1500 after someone stole it from the woods one year ago. I went out to the woods one day and was upset that it was stolen. Eight months later you called and you inform me that you knew where the stolen unit was. That alone is worth a million thanks. That is the reason I have no problem ordering more TrailMaster units. (It seems most businesses would not have had the ability to track the unit nor would they have put forth the effort to call me.) Eight years ago I purchased my first TM1500 and have been very happy with this product. I have told many people about your good business ethics and how the TrailMaster timer works and the success I have had with this product. I hunt 45 minutes from my house and once a week (sometimes once every other day) I can check an area in midday to see what has moved through the area. Checking once a week saved me more money in gas than what one of these items cost. It also saves alot of scouting time. Last year for example I went to check on my TM1500 after having been put it out for one week and I found that I had and event at 4:00 p.m. daily. When I went hunting I made sure that I was in my stand very alert when the time came. It was a small buck, however, I wouldn\'t have been out there at that time or I wouldn\'t have been expecting a deer at that time. I have been very happy with this product and I am looking to order more because one is not enough.
